III International Week at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre

Dear Erasmus partners

We are glad to announce the III International Week at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (P PORTALE01) from 11 to 15 May 2020, and invite you to join in,

The Polytechnic of Portalegre (IPP) has four Schools: School of Education and Social Sciences | School of Technology and Business | School of Health – all located in Portalegre and School of Agriculture – located in Elvas.

Because both cities are only 50 km apart from each other, we are planning an International Week for all, with lectures and other activities for non-teaching staff at each School and a joint social/cultural programme.

Participants should come with an Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility (STA) or Training Mobility (STT) grant or other funding arranged by them or by their home university, since travel, accommodation and meals (except stated otherwise in the final programme) are paid by themselves.

Lectures or presentations by the participants themselves about their subject area of expertise, as well as work/research experiences or mobility experiences are appreciated. They will be included in the final programme to be presented to other participants.

Registrations are running until February 28, 2020 by filling-in the form available here.

Further information about IPP can be found here

Besides teaching or training activities, the programme will also include some social events, like some meals together, a tour of the region and visits to other places of interest.

A preliminary version of the programme will be sent soon, but it will look like this:
10 May - Arrivals (recommended)
11 May - Official Reception at IPP; Presentation of participant institutions; International Flavours (bring your own sample and enjoy ours!); Local visits
12 May - Teaching/training sessions - Local visits
13 May - Teaching/training sessions - Local visits.
14 May - morning - Teaching/training sessions | afternoon - Local visits | evening - Farewell dinner (15 Euro per person)
15 May - Departures

During the event, participants can have meals at our cafeterias for 4.5 Euro.

Transportation to/from Lisboa International Airport will be provided free of charge.
